BFF

We generally drift off to sleep with me patting the little one to sleep by putting her on me and Aadya sleeping next to me. It is generally a story and when Aadya decides to sleep, she asks for Krishna’s story 🙂 Well who doesn’t love little Krishna story or rather stories 😀

So we were going through these story telling sessions and the little one doesn’t seem to sleep .. Fidgeting, whining, scolding 😉 (Both my girls dont cry 😀 everytime .. They mostly make these peculiar cries when they are discomfortable .. And they sound exactly like giving me a good scold :P)

I continue patting her .. and not stopping my story for I dint want to stop aiding Aadya from falling sleep ..

Suddenly .. Aadya tells me “Amma Chelli padukundipoyinattundi” (Amma I think lil sister slept off) and I checked, YES she lept 🙂 Phew! That relief! 🙂

Then I suddenly realized .. Aadya is on my team to put her little sister to sleep. 😀 Oh well!! She was always trying to pat the little one to sleep or join me in making the soothing sounds or sometimes even with the lullabies as well ..

It was only when she said the above words I realized that she truly wanted to help and was not playing 😀 She was damn serious just like about the task on hand of putting her sister to sleep .. just like Mom 😀

When Aadya was even smaller, I never had help putting her to sleep .. and sleep was the only complaint I had about A ..

But now .. I have help 🙂 I have a friend who was always ready to reach out to me :)It’s then I realized I had a new BFF in town 8) who would always be with me .. 🙂

Though it amazed me how Miss A grew up so fast .. it doesn’t surprise me .. as she always had been a thoughtful, considerate human 🙂

I love her soul to pieces .. and forever grateful to have her!!

Over a period of time the elder one becomes your friend and especially if you have a daughter. A true expression of feelings

Elder one becomes responsible and mature quite early. Enjoyed reading about your experience.
